What Is Rajasthan CET 2026?
Rajasthan CET (Common Eligibility Test) 2026 is a state-level exam conduct by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB or RSMSSB). It is not a final selection exam. It only checks if you are eligible. Your score in this test will be used later when actual job notifications come out. Different departments will use your CET score when they hire for their posts.
Which Government Jobs Are Covered Under Rajasthan CET?
If you pass the Rajasthan CET, you become eligible for many government jobs in Rajasthan. The job you can apply for depends on your education:
1. Jobs After Passing Graduate Level CET
(For candidates who have completed a graduation degree)
If you have a degree and clear the Graduate Level CET, you can apply for these posts:
- Home Guards – Platoon Commander
- Revenue Department – Patwari
- Accounts / Treasury Department – Junior Accountant
- Revenue Board – Tehsil Revenue Accountant (TRA)
- Women & Child Development – Supervisor (for women empowerment programs)
- Social Justice Department – Hostel Superintendent (Grade II)
- Prisons Department – Deputy Jailor
2. Jobs After Passing 12th Level CET
(For candidates who have passed Class 12)
If you have passed 12th and clear the 12th Level CET, you can apply for these posts:
- Various Government Offices – Junior Assistant
- Rajasthan Police – Constable (General Duty, Driver, or Band)
- State Secretariat / RPSCL – Lower Division Clerk (LDC) – also called Clerk Grade-II
- Forest Department – Forester (Vanpal)
- Excise Department – Jamadar Grade-II
- Minority Affairs Department – Hostel Superintendent
Once you pass the CET exam for your level, you get an eligibility score that is usually valid for 3 years. During this time, whenever a new government job notification comes out that uses CET scores, you can apply directly—without giving another written test.
Rajasthan CET Levels: 12th Pass and Graduate
There are two main levels of the Rajasthan CET:
- 12th Level CET – For posts that need 12th pass as minimum qualification.
- Graduate Level CET – For posts that need a graduation degree.
Both exams have the same pattern:
- Total Questions: 150
- Total Marks: 300
- Duration: 3 Hours
- Mode: Offline (OMR Based)
- Negative Marking: No negative marking (subject to change in 2026 notification).
But the syllabus and difficulty are different based on the level. The posts you can apply for also depend on which level you take.
